Class: Saturdays 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Conference Room.
$20 per month (4 weekly sessions per month)
クラスは毎週土曜日2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Conference Room.

“Venice Shodo Kai” was established by Mr. Ryuseki Ouchida in 1974.
It offers classes in the style of the “Bunka Shodo” school, which was founded by Mr. Goseki Nishiwaki and whose headquarters is in the Hatagaya area of Tokyo.
Under the guidance of the two instructors, Bokuseki Ito and Kaseki Ogasawara, there are currently over 30 students, consisting of both youth and adult members alike and include not only Japanese speakers but also English speakers. Even beginners receive detailed instruction and one-to-one guidance. All students have a chance to submit their work to the headquarters every month to get ranked.
Every year, we also participate in Bunka Shodo’s New Year “Kakizome” and summer “Kakirensei” contests and go on to make our works into scrolls. Shodo truly is a great form of self-expression.
At VJCC events, we display members’ large works at the New Year Party and participate in the Summer Festival by having our own booth and holding demonstrations to show others firsthand the joy and depth found in Shodo.
大内田龍石先生によって設立された「ベニス書道会」は1974年に開講。
大内田龍石先生によって設立された「ベニス書道会」は1974年の開講以来「文化書道」（西脇呉石先生創立、本部東京都幡ヶ谷）の流れをくみ、伊藤牧石、小笠原華石両師範の指導のもと、現在日本人をはじめ、児童から英語圏の会員も含めて３０名以上が日々練習を重ねています。初心者の方でもマンツーマンのきめ細かい指導と添削により、毎月本部での検定を受けて昇級昇段の機会を与えられます。また、本部主催の書初めや夏季錬成の全国協議会にも参加して腕を競い、文字による自己表現や掛け軸などの作品制作にも力を入れています。
ＶＪＣＣの催しでは、お正月には会員の作品展示を、夏祭りには独自のブースを設けて訪問者に直接書道に触れあっていただいたり、ステージ上ではデモンストレーションを披露して書道の楽しさや奥深さを伝えています。
